GUARANTEE: A guarantee is when the fans pay for autographs and the guest brings items to sign. If they don't earn the agreed upon amount, or guarantee, from the autograph signings then the show pays the difference.

APPEARANCE FEE: An appearance fee is when the show offers a flat fee and the guest signs for free. The guest does not supply photos with this option.
