BIO

Kevin Shinick is an Emmy award winning writer and the creator of MAD – the Emmy nominated series airing on Cartoon Network for which he serves as writer, director, producer and voice actor. Previously the Creative Director of Adult Swim’s animated sketch show, Robot Chicken, Shinick continues to work on the series’ specials and received an Emmy Award for his work on the show’s “Full-Assed Christmas Special” and Emmy nominations for collaborating with Seth Green and George Lucas on Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II & III; half hour specials which also earned him two Annie Awards for Best Animated Television Production. Kevin has written for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Disney, EA Games and for Comedy Central‘s animated series, Ugly Americans. He has voiced characters for The Cleveland Show, MAD, Robot Chicken, Ugly Americans, Titan Maximum and The Looney Tunes Show.

Shinick also has the distinction of being the first writer/director to bring Spider-Man to the stage in a feature length production called Spider-Man Live! at Radio City Music Hall and recently began a run as a writer on Marvel’s Avenging Spider-Man comic book series. He has performed in over a half a dozen Broadway shows, numerous TV and film projects (including a recent guest turn on NBC’s GRIMM) and spent two seasons as the host of the Emmy award winning series, Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego? – A popular 90s sci-fi quizshow that landed him in the pages of Teen magazines, onto trading cards and into his own Action Figure.
