Hynden Walch is probably best known as the voice of Princess Bubblegum on Cartoon Network’s smash hit ADVENTURE TIME and the voices of Starfire, Blackfire, (and sometimes Argent and Madame Rouge) on TEEN TITANS, THE NEW TEEN TITANS, and the new, new TEEN TITANS GO! But she’s also given voice to the iconic Harley Quinn on THE BATMAN, Penny Sanchez on Nickelodeon’s CHALKZONE, Elsie the Cat on Playhouse Disney’s STANLEY, Ace on JUSTICE LEAGUE, evil Velina on SUPER ROBOT MONKEY TEAM HYPERFORCE GO!, Amy Stapleton on IMMORTAL GRAND PRIX, Breach in GENERATOR REX, Alice May in SCOOBY DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED, pixies Amore and Lockette on Nickelodeon’s WINX CLUB, Yutaka in LUCKY STAR, Summer in Disney’s up-coming THE HAPPY HUGGLEMONSTERS, and Viridi in KID ICARUS: UPRISING.
Hynden provides the official voices of Alice in Wonderland and Wendy in Peter Pan for Disney Character Voices. She can also be heard in CATSCRATCH, THUNDERCATS, THE SUPER HERO SQUAD SHOW, AMERICAN DRAGON: JAKE LONG, BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT, STATIC SHOCK, CODE NAME KIDS NEXT DOOR, TOM SAWYER, THE SECRET OF N.I.H.M 2, THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA, KARAS, BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, TANGLED, and many others
On camera, Hynden can be seen in classic movies like GROUNDHOG DAY, JERRY MCGUIRE, THE FUGITIVE, DRILLBIT TAYLOR, and SUDDEN MANHATTAN. On tv, she’s been Mae Capone, wife of the notorious gangster Al Capone, in THE UNTOUCHABLES, and guest starred on episodes of CHARMED, LAW AND ORDER, NYPD BLUE, THE PRACTICE, and THE DREW CAREY SHOW, to name a few.
On stage, Hynden won the outer critics circle award for her portrayal of “Little Voice” in THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE on Broadway, a role she first performed at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago for the show’s America premier (Jeff nomination). Hynden was last seen on stage as Columbia in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at the Tiffany Theatre in Los Angeles with David Arquette as Frankenfurter.
Hynden studied voice at the North Carolina School of the Arts and was awarded as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts in Drama. Recently, Hynden graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in American literature. In her spare time, she writes, travels the world with her wonderful husband, and runs the Hillside Produce Cooperative, a free exchange of local, organic food, which she founded in 2008, and for which she was just awarded as Global Green’s runner up Citizen Entrepreneur of the Year.
